Welcome to the Jung Personality Test, a highly accurate 16-type assessment using both preference dichotomies and Jungian cognitive functions.
Your results will include your most likely personality type, your scores for each of Jung’s cognitive functions (Ni, Si, Ne, Se, Ti, Te, Fi, Fe), and your scores for each general preference pair (I/E, S/N, T/F, J/P).
Please answer every question as honestly as possible to ensure the most accurate outcome.
A personality type, according to the work of psychiatrist Carl Jung (who introduced cognitive functions) and the Myers & Briggs sisters (who formalised personality types), is a unique arrangement of several cognitive functions—Sensing, Intuition, Thinking, Feeling—each of which can be expressed in two ways: introverted or extraverted.

We all possess all of Jung’s cognitive functions; we just use them to different degrees. Each personality type reflects a unique way those functions interact. Our personality type is the one we rely on most often or most naturally. Yet in other situations, we may resemble other types, expressing different configurations of cognitive functions.
This assessment, grounded in the research of Carl Jung and the Myers & Briggs sisters, has been carefully refined for maximum reliability within the 16‑type framework. Both its questions and scoring algorithm have been fine‑tuned for accuracy.
The test consists of 40 pairs of statements and takes about 5–10 minutes to complete.
Yes. The test is completely free, and you can access your full results immediately after finishing.
The test results include your primary personality type, your scores for the various Jungian cognitive functions and dichotomous preferences, an analysis of those scores, and a comprehensive description of your type.
The MBTI® is the original assessment developed by Isabel Myers and Katharine Briggs. The personality test on the website jung-personality.com is based on Myers and Briggs' theory (in addition to Carl Jung's theory), but is not the same as the MBTI assessment. Some key differences:
